The problem with full sized umbrellas is how big and cumbersome they are when it isn’t raining.  They don’t fit in a bag or briefcase and as a result are quite easy to forget.  On the other hand – folding umbrellas are handy and portable but they tend to be small and flimsy.  They just don’t do the job in a serious deluge.  Problem solved.  It’s the size and stability of a full sized umbrella (a full 44 inch arc) yet it folds to a mere 11 and 1/2 inches long. Handles winds up to 60 miles per hour and is big enough for two.
