Oh my god! I can’t even believe how passionately I am in love with my new iPhone. First of all, let me make it clear that I am totally NOT a gadget person. I could barely work my cell phone or my PDA. I even had trouble operating my iPod mini. The truth is, I probably would never have even dared to try an iPhone – I’d have been scared to death at operating such an integrated device. Oh was I wrong! I was a lucky, lucky girl this year and actually received my new 8 gig iPhone as a birthday gift last month.

Now I’m an iPhone pro – I watch YouTube videos on the subway, check e-mail in elevators and I’ve even created my own custom ringtones. I’m currently answering to Tom Petty’s classic ‘I Need to Know’! Every time I connect the phone to my computer, all my contacts, e-mail accounts, music, videos – EVERYTHING – is automatically synchronized. Oops! We’ve had our first camp casualty of the season. Yesterday was the big day and Ketchy set off for her first summer away at camp. Things were going along just swimmingly until she realized she had left her iPod on the bus. Uh-oh. She was devastated. How many people still have their vinyl albums yet are without a turntable on which to play them?
