Paula had been searching for salmon roe for weeks. She wanted to serve this AMAZING appetizer she used to make back in the day. It’s basically a molded chopped egg and onion salad with tons of salmon roe poured on top like lava oozing from a volcano. Does it sound good? It’s incredible! Best yet, it’s really easy to make and serve. We just eat it on crackers. Everyone gobbles it up.

Paula made her usual rounds to the high end grocers and specialty stores in Chicago, but was not able to find what she needed. Like all the rest of us savvy sisters, she immediately made herself a cup of coffee and took a little surf.
