Anyway, the salmon is something I’ve made a bunch of times before, but I stressed over it yesterday, not really remembering how much soy sauce relative to how much maple syrup. And then I had a flash thought that maybe I had actually used teriyaki or tamari and not soy sauce at all. It turned out great and we had a wonderful meal and Dude put on a terrific show. Then I nearly fell off my chair in laughter when I got an e-mail this morning that the Barefoot Contessa Pantry maple teriaki sauce was a featured product this month at StonewallKitchen.com. I don’t think I’ll ever worry about making my own marinade again - not when it comes in one simple package. It’s easier and it’s actually less expensive given the current price of a really good bottle of maple syrup.

Last night marked the long awaited premiere of Sex and the City in Manhattan. For some reason, I never received an invitation to the gala event, but at least I was able to see it on TV. There was a FABULOUS red carpet feature on E, if you haven’t seen it and you are an avid style watcher, keep your eyes open for a chance to catch the rerun. Definitely worth a watch.
