Murano glass is legendary world wide for it’s color and crafstmanship. Made on a small island near Venice, Italy, the secret techniques involved in the creation of Murano glass have been heavily guarded for centuries. At one time in history, the hands were chopped off of glassblowers who wished to leave the island – for fear they would teach the craft to someone outside of the community.
