We all have a story of our great long lost love. No, I’m not talking about men. I’m talking about shoes. We’ve all got one of those stories – the demise of an all time favorite pair of shoes. I actually have two stories. One involves a totally favorite pair of 9 West slides that I left the back of a rental car. I went running back not 10 minutes later. And, of course, no one knew a thing about a pair of shoes found in a returned car. Yeah, right. I know that counter girl was probably wearing them while she told me there was nothing in the lost and found. My second disaster also involves a favorite pair of slides. So cute. On a thick curved wedge with a toe loop and a narrow strap mid foot. They are totally adorable and, by the way, on sale for like 90% off. Anyway, I had them and wore them for years and they looked fabulous. Until I got caught in a total monsoon near the beach in Puerto Vallarta. By the time we made it back to the hotel, the leather was peeling off the wedge and the straps were all pulling away from the sole. I mourn the loss of those shoes to this day. Cordani actually makes a very similar slide but I’m having trouble tracking down my size in black. Woe is me!

I admit it. I’m done with my CD’s. It’s just too much work. I have my music on my iPod and iPhone. I have a docking station and I can also hook either device directly to the stereo at home or in my car. I haven’t listened to a CD in months. In fact, the only time I touch any of my CD’s is when I want to import them into iTunes or lend them to a friend who wants to the same. I’m over it. I don’t need them anymore. I’m done.
And now that I’m ready to let go…. Wanna know what I’m going to do next? I’m going to clean house and clean up. I’m going to sell all my old and unwanted CD’s. I plan on translating the cash I get into downloads of songs and albums I’ve always wanted. Less clutter and more music. What could be better?
